The State of Hawaii Department of Commerce and Consumer Affairs and the Pearl Harbor Navy Exchange will be hosting a consumer fair on Wednesday, July 16 from 10 am to 1 pm at the Pearl Harbor NEX at 4725 Bougainville Drive. Military personnel and civilians are encouraged to attend to pick up free consumer education information about consumer scams, financial literacy, securities fraud, insurance fraud, identity theft and other important consumer topics.
Free shredding will be offered during the event to help combat consumer fraud. Up to two boxes or equivalent bags of unwanted confidential documents per household or organization can be turned in at the MCPD event at the Pearl Harbor NEX on July 16 from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm.
