If you are a Coastie, or any other service member currently serving, active or reserve component, you can have personal financial planning services from a professional financial planner, usually a CFP licensee, at zero cost to you and no sales pitch. Just contact the Financial Planning Association, MA Chapter, at admin@fpama.org. There are a number of volunteers who have been providing this service for over ten years.
